Concord UMC supports their camping ministry with a Camp Scholarship Program. In February and November every year, a Camp Scholarship envelope is inserted in the church bulletin each week for the month of Feb. and Oct. The funds collected are designated for the Camp Scholarship Fund to help send campers to conference camps in the summer.
Also during those months a camp dvd will be shown before worship along with photos of past campers.

Camp Scholarship Policy
Concord United Methodist Church will support any and all children or youth in the Concord area with scholarships to Christian Camps. The total amount raised by CUMC in the same camp season will be divided equally among all camp registrants whether members or regular attenders of CUMC or from the community. It is our belief that God can use simple means to bring about spiritual ends.  Christian camping has a long history of planting seeds that the Spirit nourishes for years to come.  It is our hope at CUMC, that we can assist God along this journey by simply welcoming every child and youth in our community into a possible encounter with the living God!

All funds given within a given camping season will be distributed evenly among all camp registrants.

Each camper will be required to assist payment by covering their camp's deposit. These deposits are non-refundable by the conference, and if not used by the camper will be used by the conference for additional scholarships.

During the months of February and November there will be fundraising which consists of inserting a Camp Scholarship envelope each week in the bulletins for members of the congregation to help support the campers by making monetary donations to this designated fund.

April 15th, fundraising ends, totals divided among campers, families notified of balance due.

May 15th, all payments due from church and families. This includes any balance due after scholarship amount is awarded.

Jan. 1-Jan. 15: If it will be difficult to pay your campers balance after CUMC's scholarship has been applied, then see Camp Director for Conference Scholarship application. The scholarships from the West Michigan Conference are on a FIRST come, first served basis and will need to be applied for before scholarships from CUMC will be given out.
