Pastor Melany Chalker: Pastor Melany came to Concord UMC in July, 2006. She is happily married to Darryl who currently works in Onsted at The Mill. Both are avid NASCAR fans (Dale Earnhardt Jr. is Darryl's driver and Jeff Gordon is Melany's). They have two sons, Jerry and Mikayl. Jerry is married to Erin and they live in the Napoleon area. Mikayl is married to Ashley and they have a son named Dane, and they live in Ypsilanti. One poodle resides at the Chalker home, Little Buddy who is a rescue dog. Melany was a professional artist for 17 years and owned her own art gallery. Her messages are relevant, inspirational and reach out to those in need. Her interests include: making jewelry, attending races, eating out, traveling and spending time with her husband, boys and precious grandson. She loves chocolate, is not a morning person, works late into the evening and is very detail oriented. Melany continues to grow and flourish as she continues to express her love for Christ through fine arts and looks forward to many years of ministry here at Concord UMC.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Church Secretary, Robyn Passmore: Robyn has been the church secretary for 12 years. She has lived in the Concord area all her life and graduated from CHS in 1976. She has three children: Charles (Chuck) drives a cement truck for Shafer's Redi Mix in Albion, he just purchased a house in Pulaski, loves hunting and the outdoors, and Chuck has a girlfriend named Shana. Rebecca (Becky) graduated from high school 2007, races a go-kart, works at Claires in the Mall and Polly's as a cashier, and is now attending JCC - she is 20 years old, and has a beautiful daughter named Aryonna. What a precious gift from God. Kaytlin (Kaytee) is 11 years old, a sixth grader this year attending Concord Middle School and loves sports, animals, riding her quad and moped, and writing/drawing. Robyn interests include: scrapbooking, crocheting, working in the yard, and is also a huge NASCAR fan (go Matt Kennseth - I had to throw that in there)! The family has several animals - a mini farm if you will: pigeons, dogs/puppies, rabbits/bunnies and two cats, Midnight and Hershey. Robyn loves her job as a secretary, enjoys interacting with everyone in the church and puts her children at the top of the list (after God of course). She looks forward to many more years of service at Concord UMC.  

 

 

 

 

Youth Director, Deborah Strong: The staff parish relations committee would like to introduce Debbie Strong as our New Youth Director. Deb has lived in the area for several years, is married to Ben, and has three children. Tori is 10, Zac is a graduate from Western High School, and Jennifer is married with children of her own. Media Director, Kevin Winchell: Hello! My name is Kevin Winchell. I'm married to my wife of 16+ years Beverly. I have two children, Kelsey & Kyle. I like computers (electronics). I watch NASCAR, Dale Jr. is my favorite driver. Our family is involved in 4-H. We show swine. During the work week I'm a machinist at Lomar Machine & Tool Co. in Horton, MI. I run a Haas vertical machining center (VF-9) & a Haas horizontal Machining center (EC-1600).
